Alec Baldwin on the Demonization of Wealth

I think a lot of us want it to be reallocation. It was the stupidest framing ever. He goes on to talk about taxes, too. But I want to play you something that he talks about around wealth and just give me a second. I'll play it. And then I'll continue. I've been very lucky. I grew up, my dad was a school teacher. We didn't have any money. Everything was like whatever you wanted, you had to go out and get it

Hi, Deborah, thank you very much for posting this. After listening to this, I can totally see where Alec Baldwin is coming from. One thing I did want to point out was I really liked that he said, don't and demonize. Well, but if you want tax me, and I think sadly, that's where the system is kind of failing us. Right now

They live in this country. Why do they not have a right to voice their opinion? Why do they not have a right to be on social networks the same way everyone else's and stating what they believe and what they find appalling. So that's kind of just silly. I think when people are doing things like that, it's just an easy way out. It's an easy way to just cast aside a voice that you don't like

I think it? S time in this country first to initiate a discussion about and find a solution to a minimum guaranteed income

A great VOICE!

But he does a lot of voices while he's on that show. I know he does a very famous voice that we're all familiar with, but his voice is just very unique, and he's very talented the way he can entertain with his voice. And then he comes on and I like how he's able to talk about the issues in great depth. So I like it. I just think he has such a wonderful, fabulous voice. So thanks for posting

If you're a plumber or you're a school teacher, right, you get paid almost nothing. Who assigns these arbitrary values? And why do we devalue people who are doing significant work? Right? And a lot of times it's women's jobs that just get devalued or entirely defunded altogether. Speaking of defunding, and they're essentially modern day slaves

Why aren't banks paying their fair share? There was enough wealth in this world, yes, to look after everybody. But I'm not going to put down somebody that said, scratching cloud from the bottom all the way to where they are today. And people come to me and say, Well, you're lucky. I said, no. I was afforded the same opportunity, especially people I know from my childhood. I was afforded the same opportunities as them. They decided to take one path

Beyond assumptions into reality checks.

I want to thank everybody for these comments and Russell to yours in particular about your journey, what you went through, the Hoops you jumped through to get to where you are and the certain abundance that you're you're enjoying. I think Alex's comments were really, really about the context of being a person of means and being demonized and people making assumptions about who you are. This conversation by no means
