David Blaine’s Ascension

article image placeholderDavid Blaine Ascension
And and I really think that over the last several years, David Blaine has managed to push the envelope and really expand on all of those different things and has caused me to sort of reevaluate what I consider an illusion, what I consider a stunt and the aesthetic that's involved with all of these things. I'm going to link a video here called Ascension

What I found most impressive was, for the most, he did not dawn on an oxygen mask at the end of the day, when it reached a point where he absolutely needed to really ensure his safety so that he doesn't pass out, et cetera, that they have him forcefully put it on and confirm. Until then, he was using his weird breathing technique to actually conserve oxygen. And I thought that was amazing

Hey, Xiaomi, thanks for sharing all that. I'll have to check that video out that you recommended. Sounds awesome. I really yeah. I really love stuff like this because I really think it shows how much you can push the limits and to do so in a way that's not only creative, but also highly scientific. It's this beautiful blend of worlds, and he pulls it off brilliantly. And there are so many things about this particular stunt that I found it to be just astonishing

Something you mentioned just got me thinking, Elon Musk is hellbent on colonizing Mars in the next two decades or so. I think all the people that are they want to go and live on Mars need to take a course with David Blaine, who can pretty much show them how they can condition their bodies to withstand extreme environments. That would be pretty cool
