Writing Life: What are you working on this week?

article image placeholder“You Don’t Know Anything.” And Other Writing Advice from Toni Morrison
And so I realized that if I want to keep moving forward, especially with revising my novel, I really need to take some time to slow down and just make sure I'm taking care of my basic needs. And also something I feel I really need to do is just remember why I love writing and books in the first place

But that's something I try to do sometimes. And if all else fails, just have those on hand as a list of sentences that did their job, that made it through to publishing and were part of a successful book. And I'll keep that on hand while I write. So my week is about reeducation filling in some gaps I have and maybe just learning to lighten up on some of my writing so that I can get through a complete transcript and determine where to go from there

We need to replace our aging staff. I'm one of them, but still got a few years ago. But now we're seeing a shortfall. So we're going right into universities and trying to recruit them right away. So that's the brand ambassador job, along with the travel agent President, Toastmasters, a podcaster photographer, writer and people say, Where do you find the time to do all this?

I'm done with Book one, and it's one of the best written books that I've ever come across. And I would really like to recommend this series to readers out there. So I'll try and share the links as well. So that's been my creative calendar for the week, and it was great fun listening to all of yours. And I'm really, really glad that you're working on this book in memory of your friend. So all the very best with that

At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about it because I'm really used to using Google Docs for everything, and I still use Google Docs a lot. But Scribner has been really helpful because you also can keep track of things pretty easily, like links or if you're doing research or anything. And I've just found it a lot more useful for organization with drafting much larger projects
