Maybe since I was a teenager. I definitely have seen all of them multiple, multiple times, but I don't have the best memory. So in many ways, this is going to be like a fresh viewing. I hope that you join us. I'm really excited
She'd never seen it. She was like, I can't believe this is a kids movie. And I had to explain that back in the day, ratings were done a little bit differently. And I think that like, a great example of that is I totally forgot that Gordon Bombay becomes the coach of the Mighty Ducks because he's serving community service hours after receiving a DUI. And I'm laughing because it's absurd

There was so much about it where I was like, this is so of this era that it's so amazing and also slightly painful. At the same time, there were certain things that were just so cheesy. But I was very into everyone's style. The entire film, I have to say. And I think that the arc of the story really made me think of The Karate Kid
S******* up with one of the kid's mothers, who obviously. And the kid, too, mentions that the boyfriends tend to leave. And I know that the story ends well in the sense that he grows up with Charlie. But knowing that I don't know, it just feels very not okay. Actually, I don't remember D two at all

And I also feel like there's a lot of films from that period of time that are trying to highlighting the situations of when people are either single parents and they meet someone or, like, blended families. There's a lot of that happening and a lot of the narratives. But yeah, I just don't think the love story is very convincing, but it did make me wonder I don't know what happens with it. Does Gordon stay with Charlie's mom?
