Why are there no good flight sim games on Xbox?

article image placeholderMicrosoft Flight Simulator - Pre-Order Launch Trailer
I have always had a soft spot for flight simulators and this new one coming out from Microsoft. I think it's long awaited. It looks really awesome. Check out the video and would love to play it on Xbox once it is out next month. For some reason they don't seem to be too many good flights from games on Xbox, especially Second World War fighter planes that you could fly and have kind of air combat and dock fights with

But if you're interested in it in the PC version, I recommend that one. I'm not sure how well it functions without the gaming that we had, but it was a really, really awesome flight simulator that was X Plane eleven

But I guess the right answer to that would be nobody has gone in that direction to take Flight Sims and dumb down the physics enough to make it actually be fun. There have been some attempts, but most of them end up diluting the experience so much that it's no longer a proper Flight SIM experience. I clearly recall in the 90s when the Sega Genesis was out. There was a game called Topgun after the movie that came out

Flying a plane with game controllers is more natural than driving a car :)

Right now, the only thing I can find on Xbox is this game call is the one that I could find was Flying Tigers Shadows over China or something. It's basically a Second World War. Flights in game and flying experience and shooting down planes is not that bad. You can enjoy it, but the graphics are really bad and that's what my ask is, can I get some really high quality, high def 4K quality graphics when playing these kind of games?

It quickly gets complex, right and throwing the rudders as well, which allows you to slip, stream, do slips and other things, and you have to match it with your elrones and it quickly kind of like in order to really create a good simulation of an airplane and have anybody to come in and just expect them to just like, have fun. It asks a lot from the player

They had an LTM, a limited time mode in which you could fly planes and have dock fights with other players. And that was actually a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. It's no longer there, I believe anymore. But that had that good quality graphics and that element of fun. And it was also a real time multiplier, so that made it even cooler so it can be done

Right. The general just again I'm saying is I can again see why probably publishers have a reservation against making a flight SIM sort of game for the console, because no matter how much you dump it down, if you're going to have real world games means the expectation is that they will behave very differently and that will lead to more complex controls

Not enough demand. Maybe the upcoming game will change that!

So yeah, I think the closest thing the Xbox has had to a good flight simulator is probably Il Two Sternvik, which was it's, a combat simulator, but it's pretty decent for a controller based game. You may remember Microsoft Flight, which was sort of its own Spinoff of the flight simulator series. It actually controls like a Dream on the PC with an Xbox controller, but it's no longer supported. They shut down the studio that made it
