And the mass mentality, which goes along with majority ruling, is a dangerous mentality to help to run the country or run any institution or any culture, because it's generally not formed by wisdom but other by something that's more gut and more tribal and in times of calm, I don't think it's a big problem to sort of circle around this issue that you brought up

And I think that's why in switching to politics, character matters so much in politicians because it's a shortcut for regular people to make, not the decision about whether a given tax plan is the best or whether even something like climate change is real. But instead of looking at two people having a disagreement, they may not be able to figure out the complex empiric behind the debate, but they can see that between those two, one of them is more trustworthy
