What Are Your Thoughts On Sugar and The Growing Market For Sugar-Free Foods?

article image placeholderUploaded by @AllenMarquis
Hello. And today's question is, do you think more companies ought to start moving away from the use of so much sugar as more, more more of the population are being diagnosed as either prediabetic or they are already diabetic? I would think companies would take note of that and begin to offer products that would cater to that particular market. Let me know your thoughts

The market for sugar free food continues to grow as more and more of the population are being diagnosed as pre-diabetic or diabetic.

Reading the labels

But I'm very careful that if I do buy something that's sugar free or move away from something that has sugar, I always look to see what they've replaced that sugar with. What are they sweetening with? Because sometimes that is even more evil than sugar itself. So I'm very careful on that. And I try to get most of my sugars from fruit from natural sources. It doesn't always work out, especially around Easter time when there's way too much chocolate floating around

Well, my mother is a diabetic, and she's on insulin shots, and her aunt is through the roof. And the last time we looked it was a seven or eight. But my understanding is that sugar artificial sugar is actually worse for the body than regular sugar or raw sugar. So a lot needs to be done to make whatever sugar companies replace the sugar with is actually better for the body than the sugar substitutes that are currently on the market

And then I don't know, I just had this thought of I'm just going to remove sugar for my life. And I was astounded pardon me. I was astounded by two things. One is how much sugar is in everything, and I'm not talking about fruits and vegetables, but I'm talking about anything process. So meat. Oh, gosh. Well, I mean, it's really hard to find cereal without sugar

And we have to look at the whole system to see what's best, but definitely sugar is the worst. Absolutely. And they saw the correlation between diabetes and the morbidity rates are in COVID. So I'm hoping there's a shift. I really am. I know there's a shift in the meat world because of impossible burger and beyond burger. It's a great time

And the good thing about the good fats is the satiety value, the most satiated you feel, the less hungry you are. So that's a food plus thing that you can acquire from having good kind of fats. Cutting down carbs is the main thing because carbohydrates are everywhere and just go through some of them. I'm actually getting late from the hospital. Shepherd

Food Corps are loving the Sugar Free business surely.

That's what I think is really going on. And their concern is not the well being of the public because why they have it sugar free to begin with. But those are my thoughts
