You probably are not going to want to miss game two when that comes on between the Portland Trailblazers and Los Angeles Lakers. Now, on the flip side of that, I look at Milwaukee. I see they lost game one. I think they'll settle in and I think they'll take care of Orlando pretty well. I don't think that'll be much of an issue moving forward here. So I still think Milwaukee will take the east here and they caught a break

Or NHL fan or MLB fan or MLS fan. What I'm a fan of is two sports here in my city, the Toronto areas of rugby Union. They play in the MLR, which took the season off because of Covet. The Aeros did really good last year. I think David went up against Seattle and almost beat them for the Championship. However, we have the Toronto Wolfpack who play in England, in the RFL or the Super League
So I didn't get to watch all of the games yesterday, but I did manage to sit down for most of the Clippers Mavericks game and Oof a little bit hard to watch for me. Paul George really seemed to to be out of it. And although Kawhi Leonard had a lot of points registered in the game, he really seemed to not capitalize on a lot of chances towards the end of the game. Seth Curry for the Mavericks in particular, I thought had a very strong last quarter or two

Who wants it more straight up competition? If it wasn't for this bubble, how many of these teams do you really think Orlando would have went to Milwaukee and beat them? Would Dallas have went to the La and beat the Clippers? No. I'm all for this bubble. If we can keep getting competitive first round games like this bubble up

So I'm just really going to be watching right now to see what are the teams that fight through the adversity and what teams just seem ready to go home. And if I was going to predict, I would say all these teams that are too and all are going to have clean sweeps. I think they'll make easy work of that and enjoy some rest on to the next round. Bye

And you are right. There is no way Orlando goes up to Milwaukee and wins game one, especially if they were playing in the Mecca. Still that place. I don't know if you remember that place, but they had some really tough teams in the 80s that people kind of forget about with Sydney Moncrieff, Jack Sigma and Paul Presi. And yeah, I'm going off a tangent there, but no, I am enjoying the bubble very much

There's nothing for them. There's no pressure. There's no pressure in Orlando. They know they're supposed to lose, but it's like we're in the gym now, and you guys ain't got your home court, so they're feeling more confident. And now we're just playing basketball. Even the games are being officiated better because you don't have that crowd influence. You know what I'm saying? They need to keep the bubble popping. Bubble up

Okay, it's time to get these NBA games popping. First up, Indiana, Miami. I'm taking Miami today. Who y'all got? Oh, and I'm definitely only taking Lakers. They better win the night

He was up with the Timber Wolves, and I just saw this guy as a guy who plays a lot of defense, plays hard. Defense, gets after it every single night and wants it. And I think he's Taylor made for the bubble. And I think Miami will make a little bit of a run. I think they take care of business today. I think they beat Indiana now Indiana gets Victor Ola Depot back
Lakers are off to a good start against Portland. I think that Portland is going to have to sort of reassess their game plan a little bit. It seems like the Lakers are kind of coming to life more. So what people expected that Allyou took from LeBron James games just now was absolutely great. It's shaping up to be an interesting game. Lakers have a double point lead over them. It's I think 16 to eight right now. So we'll see it's

End of the first quarter. Lakers up looking good. They need to keep it up because Portland believes they can win. And they got a really good a team, a well balanced team with a real good mix of veterans and young players. Lakers are my pick. So go, Lakers

If you haven't seen this game yet, it's probably the one that I would say most go and watch. These teams have been going at it. In game one. They went into overtime. Utah kind of was pretty unlucky to actually go into overtime. They did. Denver took over from there, but they're playing really good basketball
phil spade
@Phil · 0:57
But I could spend the next five minutes telling you about the not so successful ones, and it's a laundry list. I won't do that, but it should be fun to watch. A lot of the experts are saying that it's going to be Anthony Edwards out of Georgia. I don't know too much about Anthony Edwards. The only thing I know about Anthony Edwards is the same name as a guy who is the actor in Er and Revenge of the Nerds

I see that in boxing, anything that's individual, one on one. Now, in team sports, it's a little tougher to pick out. But I played a lot of basketball growing up, and I can tell you I can recognize when somebody's giving up. And I can tell you when somebody's going to come back at me twice as hard. And that's the part of the sport I really enjoy just as much as the physical part
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 1:14
Yeah, I see the same thing, Phil. That's a good point, because that's that's really the reason why I love that bubble so much because it's no home court advantage. It's no advantage outside advantage other than your skill period, which is how it should be. That should be the only determining factor. But now that's not to say that all the times when fans were there, that's a different kind of pressure. And some people fold up under that
phil spade
@Phil · 1:22
And I can't remember another situation where in a playoff game of any major sport, where players have fully boycotted a game, maybe I'm missing something, but this is pretty major. So I'll be interested to see what happens here, and I'm curious to know everybody's thoughts on it

You know, with the NBA not playing tonight. I thought I'd post this video and this is from Doc Rivers press conference last night. I actually want to post this on the RNC convention as well as well because I think it's probably the most powerful thing and most emotional thing you watch either last night or tonight. And I think it's absolutely worth watching. And if you're not going to watch the NBA playoffs tonight, this is definitely worth the eleven minutes
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 1:25
Yeah, I saw that press conference a little bit earlier today, and, yeah, it just it's just a reflection of the way a lot of us a feeling, because my question is we apply certain logic to certain situations, and yet we don't apply to others. Now, if someone came to you and told you, hey, I'm living with the guys beat me all the time. What are you going to tell her? You're going to tell her to get away?

It's been a wild week with the NBA playoffs. We've had a couple really close games, a couple wild finishes. It's really been fun to watch this week. And last night the Los Angeles Lakers lose game one again. They did this against Portland, and they do it again with Houston. Now that begs the question to me, did they have too much time off between series?
